Meet Our Producers
Frantoio Marchione
The olive mill behind our first Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
When I created Radice, I knew that our first olive oil had to come from somewhere I trusted completely. It had to be connected to my roots, my family, and the land I grew up with.
That is why our journey begins at Frantoio Marchione, in Basilicata.
The Place
Basilicata, a Place I Know by Heart
I was born and raised in Southern Italy, and Basilicata has always been part of my roots.
Here, olive oil is not simply something we keep in the kitchen. It is part of our seasons, our family gatherings, our harvests, and our everyday life.
The landscape of Basilicata has shaped the way I think about food: simple ingredients, honest production, patience, and respect for the land.
This is the place where Radice begins.
Family Connection
Olive Oil Has Always Been Part of My Family's Story
For generations, our family has been connected to the olive trees of Basilicata. Every November, we come together for the olive harvest. The days are long. The weather can be cold. Our hands get tired. But there is always laughter, conversation, and food.
My mother prepares breakfast, coffee, and lunch for everyone working in the grove. The menu has hardly changed over the years. Those meals are part of our harvest tradition. And they remind me why food has always meant so much more to me than nourishment.
It is family. It is culture. It is memory.
The Producer
My Brother and the Mill
My brother continues our family's connection to olive oil through Frantoio Marchione. The mill is rooted in Basilicata and produces Lucanian Extra Virgin Olive Oil with a focus on cold extraction and artisanal care.
For me, this relationship is deeply personal. I am not introducing you to a producer I discovered through a catalogue. I am introducing you to a place and a family connected to my own. That distinction matters.
Because when I say that I know where our olive oil comes from, I truly mean it.
